I felt it pooling between my legs, in a warm pleasant way as I laughed.
A Crimson Wave.
My Period.
It has been with me for almost 17 years.
It made its first splash under the sea with Disney’s The Little Mermaid many summers ago….
And that stream of creativity has just died.
It is here though. That Crimson Wave. It arrived on Sunday.
I am not sure when I started calling it that. Maybe when I was in high school. Yes, high school five years ago. I am pretty sure that is when it started.
I woke up Sunday and my body felt different in that way. I am not sure if you know of what I speak, but I can always tell. With some women I know, they start to either feel extremely queasy, bloated, and gasy. They also start craving sweets. I always crave sweets and greasy food. I had two glazed, cinnamon fries Sunday night and woke up Monday morning with a bit of discomfort. A minor cramp. I got my heating pad to make the discomfort go away and it did. If I were paying more attention, which I was not, I would have been aware of The Wave’s arrival. I would have drank water ONLY, no tea or anything else with sugar. Regardless, it should be running dry by Thursday.

Since I have gotten the girl talk out of the way, on to more personal matters.
Not counting this week, I have three more weeks of classes left. I will be so relieved when they are over. I will have some time to sit and think. I also take the LSAT in three weeks. I am studying for it in the midst of classes.
Also, I had my first therapy session last week. It is free as long as I am a student. Some of you may be wondering why therapy. I can only say that it is the only option that I am comfortable with exercising at this moment.
I have a few things that weigh on my mind and I am trying to embrace the young woman that I am becoming. More importantly, I am trying to understand and let go of the past so that it does not continue to hinder my future. I know that explanation does not appear to say anything, but when I understand more with these sessions (and do not feel so sleepy), I may explain myself.
Along more seductive lines, I purchased Seasons 1 & 2 of The Tudors and season 1 of True Blood. I LOVE Showtime’s The Tudor’s. Although, it was only after purchasing these items that I remembered that I do not have a television. I had one, but I passed it along to my sister. I plan on buying another one. Maybe through the wantads. I did watch season 1 of The Tudors in the family room. It took much to keep me from putting in season 2. I am going to save the remaining two sets and watch them at the end of the summer session.
Since my eyes are extremely heavy, I will end this.
Gnite all.
